The framework structure of (II), projected down [001]. As2O7 diarsenate groups (with a nearly staggered conformation) are corner-linked to slightly distorted ScO6 octahedra. Ten-coordinate Rb atoms are located in tunnels running parallel to [001]. The unit cell is outlined.
