The Te1O₄E and the Te2O₃₊₁E polyhedra build up infinite [TeO_2.5]_n chains along [011] by corner and edge sharing. The [TeO_2.5]_n chains are linked by CuO₄Cl₂ octahedra to form layers in the (0 $[\overline1]$ 1) plane.
