The same atom-numbering scheme is used for (I)–(V), except that in (II)[link] the three independent mol­ecules in the asymmetric unit have suffixes A, B and C. All seven independent mol­ecules display intra­molecular N1⋯N3 and N3⋯Cl2 hydrogen bonding within the crystal structure, indicated by dotted lines.
