The mol­ecular structure of (III)[link], highlighting its polymeric crystalline structure. The chains lie along the [101] direction. Displacement ellipsoids are drawn at the 50% probability level and H atoms have been omitted for clarity. Crystallographic inversion centers are located at the K-atom positions and in the center of each pair of eclipsed pyrene ligands. Only one position of the disordered metal centers is shown per mol­ecule.
