The structure of Cd(H₃thba)₂(H₂O)₂·3H₂O (18). The structure is similar to 17, but one of the bridging waters is not involved in hydrogen bonding. The H₃thba⁻ units are closely stacked (centroid-to-centroid distance ∼3.6 Å). Colour code: Cd green, O red, C black and H pale pink.
