Crystallization of adamantane by sublimation in a septum-top vial. The tem­per­a­ture was maintained at 65 °C using a hotplate and the vacuum held at ∼200 mbar (1 bar = 105 Pa) using house vacuum and a syringe needle pushed through the septum. Sublimed crystals are seen on the vial walls.
