Comparison of class averages from AlignPCA-2D and CryoSPARC. AlignPCA-2D averages (bottom rows) were aligned with their corresponding CryoSPARC templates (top rows), and similarity was quantified using cross-correlation (CC). AlignPCA-2D identified a larger number of distinct averages, with multiple classes corresponding to a single CryoSPARC class, suggesting a greater ability to resolve subtle structural variations.
