Figure 3 Structure of the (0 − 1 1) layer: the π–π stacking inter­actions between penta­cyclic systems are 3.589 (1) and 3.841 (1) Å [distance measured between r.m.s. planes of fully eclipsed and partially eclipsed benzene rings of penta­cyclic systems, respectively] and 3.453 (1) Å between r.m.s. planes of benzene rings of toluene substituents.
