Reaction for the synthesis of Ph₂B(MesIm)₂OTf. Ph₂BCl (1 equiv.), 1-mesityl-1H-imidazole (2 equiv.) were stirred in toluene at room temperature for 2 h. TMS OTf (1 equiv.) was then added and the mixture was further stirred at 383 K overnight.
