The crystal structure of (NH4)M(HSO4)(SO4)(H2O)2 compounds at 296 K (data from M = Co) in a projection along [[\overline{1}]00]. Very strong hydrogen bonds between disordered sulfate/hydrogen sulfate groups are given in red, medium-strong to weak hydrogen bonds involving the water mol­ecules in yellow and those involving the disordered ammonium cations in green. Displacement ellipsoids are drawn at the 74% probability level; H atoms are displayed with arbitrary radius.
