In keeping with tradition, the cover illustration of the January 2011 issue of Acta Cryst. F is a montage of the best in crystal photomicrographs from crystallization communications published in 2010. Now in its fifth year, the tradition of the crystals cover acknowledges the contributions of crystallization communications to our journal's scientific content. It is a tradition we are pleased to honor once again.
