The arrows in (b) indicate `bright spots', which are taken to indicate that these are potential lead crystallization conditions. (c) and (d) are the corresponding white-light and fluorescence images of the optimized conditions, with optimization carried out using capillary counter-diffusion. The capillary internal diameter is 0.3 mm.
