(b) The MMDS plot; each sphere in this plot represents a powder diffraction sample; the greater the separation of the spheres, the smaller the corresponding correlation. (c) The three-dimensional PCA plot. The distance properties mirror those of the MMDS plot, although the shape is different. The colour of each sphere in (b) and (c) is taken from the dendrogram to allow comparison of the methods.
