Geometry of the Bragg reflection and pseudo-Kossel cones. The scattering vector q is perpendicular to the planes hkl. The incoming and outgoing vectors, k and k′, trace the cones if rotated around q (ψ scan). The perpendicular displacement on the sphere varies the opening angle of the cone around the Bragg angle (ω scan).
