Vertical SAXS resolution for option (b) at E = 15 keV and L = 817 mm with a 100 µm beam-defining pinhole (squares) and a 10 µm beam-defining pinhole (circles) from silver behenate (black symbols) and rat tail tendon collagen (open symbols). The lines are fits to the data with equation (2)[link] and give Δλ/λ = 0.012 (note that the fitted curves are all parallel for large q) and W0 = 0.022 nm−1 for the collagen sample, and W0 ≃ 0.095 nm−1 for the silver behenate sample. The inset shows an enlargement of the rat tail tendon data with the corresponding fit.
