For a fully protonated chain in a deuterated matrix local reptation and contour length fluctuations are visible. For a centre-labelled (protonated) chain with deuterated chain ends in a deuterated matrix only local reptation is visible, the contour length fluctuations of the chain ends are masked. ψ(t)/2 denotes the time-dependent chain fraction release at one end.
