Changes in the surface morphologies of the DPPC/water system during the synthesis of copper nanoparticles corresponding to the three stages of the formation of the copper-ion-containing domains (their SAXS patterns are shown in Fig. 4[link]). A: the first state with a destroyed layer arrangement in the giant vesicle broken through entirely; B: stack of lamellae and undefined morphology in the surrounding medium; C: stacks of lamellae with grained domains in which each grain extends to 300–400 Å.
