Ab initio shapes for double (PDZ12) and triple (PDZ123) domains restored from X-ray scattering data are displayed as transparent assemblies of spheres. Pseudo-atomic structures based on PDZ homology models and rigid-body modelling with addition of linkers [using the program BUNCH (Petoukhov & Svergun, 2005BB14)] are superimposed in the form of ribbon drawings.
