The white cross marks the nominal position of the Si (331) Bragg peak. Panels (a)–(c) were converted using the exact reciprocal space conversion described in the text, whereas for panels (d)–(f) the same measurements were converted using the `channel per degree' approximation, leading to errors in the observed peak positions. The measurements shown in panels (a), (d) were recorded when the detector was offset to lower angles, and those in panels (c), (f) with an offset to higher angles, whereas the reciprocal space maps in panels (b), (e) were recorded with the signal centered on the detector. |
