(Top) oP and (bottom) oC unit cells, seen in projection along [001]. The first plane of the (h00) family passes through the lattice node 100 in the case of oP but through the lattice node [{1 \over 2} {1 \over 2} 0] in the case of oC, so that the intersection with the a axis is at 1 in the former but at [1 \over 2] in the latter. Consequently, h is reduced to 1 and 2, respectively, and the two families of lattice planes are indicated as (100) and (200).
