Measured scattering cross section from air as a function of neutron wavelength plotted versus scattering angle. Measurements were made with an 18 cm path length of air at room temperature and P = 1 × 105 Pa and L2 = 1.33 m (symbols: λ0 = 4 Å black, 6 Å light red, 10 Å blue, 12 Å green and 15 Å dark red). Note that at longer wavelengths the scattering is observed to have stronger angular dependence.
