Curve fit of a single data set of gold nanoparticles of the NIST reference material RM-8011 (De Temmerman et al., 2014BB4; Kaiser & Watters, 2007BB14) using a model of spheres with Gaussian size distribution and the initial parameters shown in Fig. 2[link]. The uncertainties of the measured intensity values are displayed as blue lines. The mean radius is X0 = 4.48 (5) nm and the width of the size distribution is s = 0.44 (5) nm. Right-hand figure: covariance matrix and confidence intervals of fit parameters to assess (inter-)correlation of parameters.
