Overlap of an infinite number of patterns obtained by infinitesimal translations along c of the pattern in Fig. 8[link]. The hatching indicates the unit cell of the compound pattern. The infinitesimal translation comes from the pyroelectric nature of Pca21, which possesses a polar direction (the c axis) along which the origin is not fixed a priori. The grey colour stands for black and white at the same time. The Euclidean normalizer that corresponds to this pattern is P1mmm, where the superscript `1' indicates the presence of infinitesimal translations along one direction.
