Selected powder patterns showing the evolution of initially amorphous calcium silicate exposed to atmospheric CO2 over a period of 36 weeks. The main conversion to crystalline calcium carbonate has almost finished by week eight but small changes are still occurring at week 21. Data were collected at E = 25 keV. The diffractograms are vertically shifted with respect to the bottom pattern.
