Gain factors for (a) the thermal and (b) the cold moderators (pancake geometry) as a function of wavelength, relative to the 10 cm high pancake moderator, after Zanini et al. (2018BB25). As for Fig. 4[link], the gain factors correspond to a beamport in the centre of the reflector opening and are obtained by averaging over the full moderator height and a width of 6 cm.
