Experiment setup on the ID30B beamline at the ESRF (McCarthy et al., 2018) with a miniKappa goniometer. The rotation axes are mounted in the following order, Omega (Ω), Kappa (K) and Phi (Φ). The angle alpha (α) between Kappa and Phi is nominally 24° by design. In the captured goniometer settings, Kappa is open by 180°, so Phi and Omega are separated by 2α. A sample is mounted in a loop at the end of a magnetically held pin on the Phi axis for positioning in the X-ray beam. |
