Experimentally obtained XAFS spectra for Al–Cu 4 wt% samples, aged at room temperature (298 K) for different times starting from the as-quenched state (AQ). For comparison the top spectrum shows the state aged at 373 K for 2 d. The curves for 7.5 h at 298 K (top, green) and for 2 d at 373 K (top, dark blue) represent the reference states of the dominating GP-I and GP-II zones, respectively. The spectra displayed in the light-blue colour (top), were acquired with an increment of 10 min. A systematic shift of the whiteline and the peak at 9040 eV in the fine structure can be detected. |
