The union (coexistence) of the two crystallographic orbits in Figs. 1[link] and 2[link] results in the space group Cmcm as intersection of the eigensymmetries Fmmm and Cmmm. Although both crystallographic orbits are extraordinary, their union reduces the symmetry of the pattern to that of the space group.
