The Li/graphite pouch half-cell setup and neutron beam direction. The dimensions of the graphite electrode on the copper current collector are 2.6 × 2.6 cm (= 6.76 cm2). Those of the Li foil are 2.8 × 2.8 cm (= 7.84 cm2). The 450 µm thick Li foil is contacted by a copper tab on the side of the Li foil outside the neutron beam with a width of ca 1 cm.
