The definition of the diffractometer-related Cartesian coordinate system X, Y, Z. The columns of the orientation matrix (UB) are the coordinates of the reciprocal basis vectors [{{\bf a}}_{1}^{*}, {{\bf a}}_{2}^{*}, {{\bf a}}_{3}^{*}] relative to X, Y, Z. Such matrices can be directly obtained using software like CrysAlisPro.
