(a) Schematic diagram of the Eiger X 9M SAXS detector stage with ten degrees of freedom as indicated by the ten arrows, including ±120 mm detector translation in the vertical and horizontal directions. There is an in-house-made motorized aluminium roller to cover and protect the detector active area when needed. A Ta beamstop (BS1) is glued on the center of a Kapton film of 8 µm thickness on the green frame (±20 mm in vertical and horizontal directions). The other two beamstops (BS2 and BS3, orange and yellow) are each equipped with a photodiode.
