The three-pointed star represents the orientation of a sample feature on the blue substrate. The EBSD detector coordinate system (xd, yd, zd) describes the EBSP coordinates. The EBSD sample coordinates (xs, ys, zs) correspond to the EBSD scan points. The SEM map coordinates (xm, ym, zm) show how EBSPs overlay on SEM maps. Here, the Euler angles output by the EBSD software are with respect to the SEM map coordinates. This follows the same convention as Britton et al. (2016). |
