The magnitude of the reciprocal-space vector gradient |∇Q(xP, yP)| is presented in (c) the traditional geometry and (d) the inclined geometry. Implementing the inclined geometry shifts the PONI position, changing ΔΩ(γ) and |∇Q(xP, yP)| such that they are reduced in the lower scattering angle regions and increased in the higher scattering angle regions.
