(a, d, g) show the [\hat{\bf q} = \hat{\bf x}] scattering directions projected along the z direction and (b, e, h) show the same scattering direction projected along the y direction. (c, f, i) show the scattering density averaged over all directions projected along the y direction. The projections of the directional scattering have bright regions, where the angle between the wire axis and the probed [\hat{\bf q}] falls on the maxima of the pole figure, while the averaged density is constant along the wire.
