Diffraction elastic constant [{{1}\over{2}}S_{2}] for (a) ferritic and (b) austenitic steel, calculated by means of equations (14a[link]), (14b[link])–(16a[link]) and (16b[link]) for the grain interaction models of Reuss (R), Voigt (V) and Eshelby–Kröner (K). The framed reflections hkl lie in the vicinity of the model-independent orientation [\Gamma^*]. rK denotes the Reuss fraction in the Eshelby–Kröner DEC model. The single-crystal elastic moduli sij were taken from Landoldt–Börnstein (1984BB30).
