The radial average of the FSC and the PRTF for four different data sets. The signal and background strength are indicated in the average number of signal or background photons per diffraction pattern. The estimated resolution of the reconstruction is shown in the top right of each plot. For the first two plots there is only a minuscule difference between the two signal cases, whereas for the third and fourth plots, with background, the difference between strong and weak signals is clearly apparent. In the final plot, we see a low-resolution reconstruction with an RPRTF that is much better than the corresponding RFSC. |
