The normals are plotted over IPF-Z maps. The figure illustrates the very small difference between the two directions compared with local fluctuations in lath boundaries and the variety of lath cluster morphologies encountered. The angles between the two vectors are (a) 2.37°, (b) 8.50°, (c) 0.98° and (d) 4.86°.
