(c) illustrates the distribution of the random (purple line) and aligned case (orange line), which for radially averaged data is just a 1D curve. The distribution of the aligned case is extracted from the IMS rocking curves shown in Fig. 5[link](d). The correction factor αorient is given as the ratio of the constant value of the flat distribution and the peak value of the aligned distribution marked by a purple and orange solid dot, respectively. Note that the width of the shown distribution is exaggerated for illustrative purposes and not to scale.
