Comparison of X-ray small-angle scattering data of birch wood reported by Chen et al. (2021BB1) with calculated structure factors and the form factor assuming a random packing of infinitely long cylinders with a radius of 13 Å. The intensity is multiplied by Q to compensate for the measured intensity being an average over an azimuthal angle, while the model assumes a line trace of a perfectly aligned system.
