Application of the double-segment approach to the isosurfaces from Fig. 6[link]. The filled green–orange (green–red) points are used to calculate the slope for the part of [{\cal F}] below (above) the diagonal line. The found tangent points are shown by open black circles. When the part of [{\cal F}] has a concave–convex mixed curvature, it possesses multiple tangent points for a given slope [cf. (a) and (b)] and equation (14)[link] is capable of exploring all points in a single analysis. In the case of multiple tangent points, all points are used to define inner and outer boundaries.
