The crosses in panels (c) and (d) show the grids which are part of the definition of the NN and GK basis sets. The directions used to define the NN model are the face centers of the truncated icosahedron. The directions used in the GK model are given by a modified Kurihara mesh. The circles in panel (b) indicate the symmetry axes.
