The blue curve is the fit refined using the visual inspection method (see Section A4 of the supporting information for more details of this method). χ2 = 8.2 (q = 0.012–0.2 Å−1). The red curve is the background function refined by the visual inspection method (Section A3). The green curve is the linear plot obtained after subtracting the background function (red curve) from the SANS data (scale on right-hand side). Error bars on the green curve are the 1σ uncertainty in intensity (dI) at each q. Note that the signals are well above the uncertainty in the green curve and that no peak is seen near q = 0.01 Å−1 (see text for further discussion).
