Calculated dimensioned mean squared displacement of the membrane undulations without the contribution from diffusion, $[\langle\Delta h^{2}(t)\rangle = ]$ $[R^{2}\langle\Delta u^{2}(t)\rangle]$ , for infinitely large vesicles ( $[R\rightarrow\infty]$ ) and for R values typical of extruded vesicles and assuming a membrane thickness of $[\delta = 3]$ nm and bending modulus $[\kappa_{\rm NSE} = 150]$ $[k_{\rm B}T]$ . In the infinite limit, the familiar t^2/3 scaling from the classical Zilman–Granek stretched exponential is recovered; however, the finite size of extruded vesicles leads to significant deviations from the commonly assumed t^2/3 scaling in the time window accessible on modern NSE spectrometers.
