Individual Kapton sandwiches can be mounted on (b) a plate goniometer or (c) a goniometer with kappa geometry. (d) Diffraction data of thaumatin crystals in the Kapton sandwich were recorded to a resolution of 1.6 Å with a negligibly low background.
