Polarity distribution for polished (down to the middle of the quasi-spherical sample) dumb-bell objects, grown in a gel made of gelatin (10 wt%) and water. Both objects are bipolar and show the same pyroelectric current flow direction as fluoroapatite (FAP; Burgener et al., 2015). The result also shows that, for these cases, the N-termini point towards the growing interface (Sommer et al., 2016; extended paper to be published). |
