Plots of electron scattering factors converted from the X-ray scattering factors by the Mott formula (equation 4[link]). Broken lines indicate plots for the neutral atoms. Negative ions show negative values in a lower sin θ/λ range. Magenta and red curves correspond to the scattering factors of O, O+ and O−, the cyan and blue curves are those of H, H+ and the green curves are those of S2+ and S3+. The scattering curve of H is derived from International Tables for Crystallography (Colliex et al., 2006BB3).
