Raman spectrum of chibaite under ambient conditions. The two inserts represent the enlarged cut-outs of 700–1500 cm−1 and 2800–3100 cm−1 containing the hydrocarbon C—C and C—H stretching vibrations. The labeling of the allocated major bands corresponds to the respective mol­ecule and the cage types (see Table 2[link]) (Sum et al., 1997BB57; Charlou et al., 2004BB13; Tribaudino et al., 2008BB60; Klapp et al., 2010BB30; Momma et al., 2011BB45; Likhacheva et al., 2016BB38).
