The horizontal distance between the curves describes the fraction of the number of particles required to obtain the same resolution with Bayesian polishing as with the UCSF implementation of MotionCor2. The indicated distances correspond to 66%, 30% and 60% of the particles, respectively. Note that the horizontal distance shrinks to zero at the right-hand edge of the γ-secretase plot. This implies that the γ-secretase data set is limited by additional effects at high resolutions.
