Observed electron density distribution in α-Cu2−xSe at 401 K obtained by Fourier inversion of observed amplitudes and model phases. (a), (b) and (c) show isosurfaces for 5, 1 and 0.35 electrons per Å3, respectively. (d) and (e) show the density in the [x,x,z] plane with different color ranges, and in (e) three contours are shown for the isosurfaces used. The effect of different models on the density is very small and is discussed in the supporting information.
