The yellow outline denotes the original images before padding, with the delocalized signal recreated to the left of the edge. The reconstruction spills over the edge on the right because of the spread of low-frequency information from the conjugate Ewald sphere, resulting in the blurred appearance. Scale bar: 20 Å.
